New Needle Wiring Test

Having changed the tonearm completely from its original form in the Stanton required changes including complete rewiring with longer wires required, the bypassing of the cartridge attachment to the arm and new phono cable inputs with the potential to leave out the earth wire due to the arm being made out of wood. Having been unable to player anything through the dismantled circuit for almost a month since it was dismantled, I was nervous that it would all work according to plan but to my relief it came together fine and I was pleasantly surprised with the initial sound demonstrated in the video below just holding the cartridge and needle and with the absence of an earth wire. I also bought new higher quality copper ended headshell wires to replaced the ones from the old turntable that were worn and thin, which you can see attached to the cartridge in the photo above.
