Manual Machine Milling The Pieces

To rehouse the components into my new record player I decided to hollow out sections of the pieces using the milling machine in the uni workshop. Having only had light use of this machine before it certainly took a while to get used to. Working from the platter size taken from my Stanton turntable and others of the same form such as the Technics Sl-1210, also taking into account  18mm thickness for the Ash, the top piece dimensions after sanding were 325mm x 415mm. Going back and fourth from the machine to the circuit board I individually arranged all the parts and measured the depths to fit into the new body, taking into account the extra space required for the USB wiring, adapter and new phono/tone arm wiring.
